JetBlue flight lands safely after reports of bomb threat

BUFFALO, N.Y -- A Boston-to-Chicago JetBlue Airways flight has landed in Buffalo after the airline received a phone call about a passenger who may have posed a bomb threat.

A spokesman for Buffalo Niagara International Airport said a female passenger was detained by the FBI after Flight 923 was diverted to the western New York airport Monday morning.

Spokesman C. Douglas Hartmayer said the incident began with a call to JetBlue from someone who said there may be a situation involving a passenger and a possible bomb threat. Additional details aren't available.

JetBlue confirmed the flight was met by authorities upon landing. The FBI said agents are talking to the female passenger.

Hartmayer said the other 85 passengers and luggage were removed from the plane and canines were brought in.
